As you know, League of Legends has been selected by the WCG to be one of its two promotional game titles in 2010. The best League of Legends team from each continent will be flown over to Los Angeles at the very end of September to compete for the title of best League of Legend team in the world.
So if you’re ready to step up and defend your colours against the best of the best, read carefully.
There are four requirements in order to become eligible for the upcoming regional tournaments. Firstly, players will only be eligible to qualify for the region where they are physically located (i.e. European players may only qualify through their results on the EU server). Secondly, your summoner account must be level 30 in order to participate in 5v5 PREMADE RANKED games. Thirdly, your ELO in 5v5 PREMADE RANKED games must place you within the top 1,500 players on your server (i.e. players ranked from #1 to #1500 will all be eligible to register on teams for the region tournament). Finally, you must be from a European WCG-approved country, the list of which is available at the end of this post.
The ladder qualification will end on Sunday, August 1st at 11:59pm UK Time. All games ending after that time will not count towards the rankings. The eligible 1,500 players will be posted on the forums and notified by email on Monday August 2nd with registration for the regional tournaments opening shortly after that.
