So, today while launching League of Legends, after choosing and after the pvp,net client minimalize and I should get loading screen I get an error "An unknown directX error has occurred. Please make sure your video card supports shader model 2.0 and that it is using drivers from the manufacture.".
So, Till today I could run the game perfectly. The error started to shows up after I installed lastest Drivers to my graphic cards.
My graphic card is GeeForce 8600 GS and till today that card was enough.

I have gotten the same note. I have a GeForce GTX 260M. Sometimes i get thrown out of games and being told to upgrade my Graphic card. I have updated it with the right update and i still get the message.

Well problem solved. I uninstalled drivers and installed the veeeery old ones. Everything works now. Strange lol.

fak this faking game !! issue after issue !! fak !! now this directx **** too !! i have the latest video card driver and its support shader model 3.0 i have the latest directX too but i cant play tha game!! WHYYY????

i was playing this game LAST NIGHT and it was working fine. i wake up today and suddenyl i get this message. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON

Yes, it is missing the last r in manufactureR.

Try these solutions (all credit goes to DavieB of the support staff):

The most common solution is to update your video card drivers.
Confirm that Video Card Drivers Up to date:

However there are several other fixes I would like you to try.

Update DirectX:

Disable your Anti-Virus.

Disable any programs that use an overlay. (ex. Xfire, Mumble, Ventrilo)

In Game Settings:
Shadows: No Shadow (unless you are sure you have a dedicated(not integrated) graphics card)
V-Sync: Change it
Fast Terrain: Disable
Frame Rate Cap: Stable
Resolution: Make sure your game resolution matches your desktop resolution and that you are running in Fullscreen mode.

To determine your desktop resolution:
Right click your desktop background
Select Properties (or Personalize in Windows Vista and Windows 7)
Select the Settings tab
Your desktop resolution is listed under Screen Resolution.
