Hello community,
I can't help but notice the large amount of "rage"threads about people being very upset with trolls and such, because they made them loose.
I can see how this is frustrating, and creating a large need for ragethreads, chocolate and other emotional stabilizers.
I would like to remind you though, of some simple statistics, that might give you HOPE, or at least some kind of comfort.
The thing is, when you soloqueue with or without a friend,
your team will have 3 spots left for people you dont know. (4 if alone ofc)
The enemy team will consist of 5 people you dont know.
Meaning, that your enemy team has a far greater chance, of containing trolls or bad players, IMPLYING you are not a troll or a bad player yourself.
So even if you loose 2 or 3 games in a row due to bad luck with teammates, keep playing, keep playing untill the statistics work in your favor.
and remember to have fun, we are playing a game.
Secondly I would like to add a tip of handling a troll/bad player in your team.
Most people will react like: Olaf, play more defensive please.
-> Even though you said "please", you are still making olaf feel blamed. which puts most people in in a state of mind where they justify their actions and rage back at you. or simply creating a feeling of dislike in your general direction, which usually leads to activities of the hotheaded variety, I will not go into specifics here.
You could react like: Lets all play more defensive :-)
-> Olaf wont feel solely blamed, and MAYBE play more defensive. he might even like you and start caring, leading into a blossoming friendship of delightful games.
I realise the second thing wont help in many cases, but it's better than nothing.
So remember guys,
Play like gentlemen,
never give in to rage,
and when it gets hard,
play some disney music and remember these statistics: 5>3
Your humble family man,
