This method requires administrator privileges and has worked like a charm for my lagging issues. Recently I've been getting lag spikes from 40 ping upto the 500's, which'd then cause me to disconnect.

Since applying this method I've been able to play properly!

This fix works by disabling the "Nagle's algorithm"

Worked for me too, although I didn't actually believe I did it right, because it looks so simple.

Anyway, my latency is significantly lower now, don't know if it's this solution or some miracle at Riot's office.

I got the same problem, Lol freezes and i can still talk on skype though do nothing else. i have to restart computer and reconnect to keep on playing. its really annoying, though i have good ping and FPS.

I can't promise anything about the ping, other than shutting down P2P from Pando Media Booster, and other software you might have running at the same time.
As for FPS's though, you might want to give the ACE Client a go.
