How to counter Wukong solo top?

how about play a hero that either:
1) is self sustained like ire or garen or anyhting liek that and heal hir harrass back up
or
2) take a hero that has got better harrassment and outdamage him while exchanging blows (yorick, talon)

I play alot of wukong and i can tell you the laners i struggle against the most are hyper sustainers i.e udyr ww ect

Akali, yorick, irelia, garen, renekton, nasus, talon, cho'gath, jax, Gangplank, rumble, warwick, trundle, tryndamere, udyr, singed and sion for starters

Seriously, wukong is so easily countered at solo top.

I know what you mean, played against him with Singed. This guy HURTS. He always seemed to damage me that little bit more with each trade. I bet champs with sustain can outlive him. We solved the problem by having Gangplank jungler come around and gank him a couple of times, else I couldn't hold the lane too good
