I love playing Rumble and I completely rape top lanes with him, but I have never come across a top lane hero that raped me. So my question to you is what DOES counter Rumble so I know when not to pick him and raise ELO fast

rumble has no good harass mechanism(if you max harpoon first, you are an idiot)

so you can harass rumble pretty easy with major harassers

like galio

Lanewick is a good counter to Rumble, this also goes for Vlad and anyone who is able to both harrass and sustain themselves at the same time (not sure but maybe AP soraka or regen spec mundo etc)

Anyone with a source of healing, Irellia, Warwick, Nasus, then of course ranged champs, Gragas and Cho'gath should tear you up. But it's down to the player not the champ, I've beat a Rumble as Sivir, no big deal.
