After downloading the client, I started the launcher and waited while it began to update. After reaching 7/8 and whatever that signifies, the launcher closed and failed to restart. I clicked my LoL icon again and received this error message:

lol.launcher.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point MaestroServerController_RegisterHwnd
could not be located in the dynamic link library launcher.maestro.dll.

Clicking on on the error message then gave me a Windows message saying:

League of Legends skinned.launcher has stopped working
A problem caused the problem to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I've downloaded the client twice now, once from Steam and then from the LoL site.

The operating system is vista 64 and attached are the patcher_lib, the maestro-server, the ACE_LogAnalyser and the launcher.maestro.dll files.

I managed to fix this by copying the file launcher.maestro.dll from another computer's working installation of LoL. Don't know how I'd have fixed it otherwise as redownloading/reinstalling from seperate sources didn't work.
