I played bot games for about a week and half so I knew what I was doing when it came to PvP. I have been told to avoid ranked because I will get destroyed.

So I am playing normal 5v5 blind pick, people are AFK, totally clueless, don't speak english, don't know about lanes etc etc

No one talks in the lobby, no one will move from there choice of character. There is always 3 folk in the bottom lane, or 2 folk in the middle or 2 folk just AFK in the spawn.

If I keep plugging away at this to get more wins, will I move away from these people or am I stuck with these people forever unless I find another 4 guys to constantly play with?

I try to pick up the role that other guys haven't filled but even that is hard when I take mid and at the start of the game two guys follow me and farm all the minions there and don't respond to anything typed in chat.

I'm only level 11. But it took me a good 6+ games of perseverance to get into the game. The first few games are torture.

I think I am only level 13? I have played 20 games, won 13 and lost 7 and at least 4 of those losses have been due to having to surrender ASAP because of AFK players. It's pretty frustrating like.

Right now you are only level 13, so ranked play is a long way off. And don't worry, at that level you don't need to worry about having the perfect lane setup and players who are just starting out don't care what champion they play or which lane they play in. Just take this time to get comfortable with as many champions as possible, and learn as much as you can before you reach level 30.

Hello Skiiba,

Comments below.

Let me tell you something, I have like 1100 wins in normal games and the game is almost exactly the same as you describe.

If you want to play a game where everyone is friendly and do what pleases the team, you lost your way coming here.

BUT, you can really have fun when you start. You seem to know a bit more about this kind of game than a true beginner so if you find 2, 3 or 4 friends to start playing with you, this will start getting really funny.

This game is REALLY worth playing when you play with mate. If you play alone, good luck. LoL is full of trolls, leavers, afks, flamers, kids, and it does not get better.

Be patient and find other players at your level. You might even be able to find them in the rare games you will play and enjoy.

Hope I helped.

I'm kinda even scared to start PvP...
I mean I had an EUNE acc where I trained with bots, I watch some stream all the time so I do know about the game just like you but I can't force myself to play with real people somehow.

I was terrified of PvP at first but it's way easier than intermediate bots at this level.

Thanks for not all laughing me out the building! I have played with friends in the past and we work together and people still follow us into our lane making giant holes elsewhere haha.

I think I need to get used to the fact this is just how it is and not get too caught up with winning all the time.

If only they replaced AFK players with BOTs we could at least get through a full game without having to surrender when it's 3v5.

I think my problem with other champions is that if i play bad trying them out I feel like I am letting the team down, it's hard not to get caught up in always wanting victory in a game like this especially when a single game is a 1 hour (here or there) time investment.

Just in reply to what you said earlier about only playing against bots, when I spent my week and a half just playing beginner bots and then intermediate ones the 4 people I was teamed up with almost always claimed a role in the pre game lobby or at least spoke so everyone knew what was going on, even if they just stubbornly claim it right away. In PvP it's been the opposite, no one talking, no organisation, I try to get everyone organised but they don't talk, one game yesterday we had 4 players playing support and got totally steamrollered.

Yeah, in Co-op they claim it at the speed of light. I haven't even entered the lobby and I've already seen someone claiming mid...
Anyway I added you ingame so I guess I won't be scared to play with someone. I actually like playing as a support but I like being APC too
