Riot have cowardly pushed the change through - they even removed it from the patch notes to avoid the negative backlash - on the NA platform. As it appears we've lost the battle, I'll be leaving this thread and issuing my statement.
Riot have disregarded the overwhelming negative feedback from the community and have chosen to arrogantly make their unpopular change with their "Riot knows what's good for you" attitude. Personally, I am disgusted with Riot games and frankly, this change has really made me question A. How much our feedback is valued, despite their insistance and B. Whether they really care about anything other than getting our money. This change, as Riot have stated in not as many words, is entirely about lowest common denominator and you should be insulted that Riot thinks you are too stupid to handle the ability name.
Thanks for all the support and attention, I will not be updating this thread any further as Riot have made it very clear that our Feedback is no longer welcome in their game or their forum. It's been fun, guys - I encourage people to continue to protest and complain. The next time a stupid change like this is proposed, I might start another protest thread - who knows?

Hello everyone, Dravoth here - self-appointed leader of the Save Finales Funkeln campaign here on EU west! I'm here to tell you about a few new ideas I've been working on after a chat with some of our comrades in North America (I encourage anyone with an NA account to upvote the NA threads on the subject and anyone without one but with some free time to make one, level it to level 5 and then upvote the NA threads) on how we can all get involved to try and save this ability!

Well, as Riot have made it clear that, despite the overwhelming negative reaction to their proposed change to the name of Lux's ultimate - Finales Funkeln, they have no desire to change their plans, I think we need to take some action to show them that this blatant disregard for the community is not true to the Riot we know and love!
To help Riot back onto the path of truth and righteousness, I propose that we the first of August 2012 day one of the Save Finales Funkeln campaign! This means that I want to see Lux picked and played in as many games as possible and in as many fun ways as possible! I want to see solo top bruiser Lux, AD carry bot lane Lux, Jungle Lux and, of course, AP mid Lux and supporting bot lane Lux!
Let's make Lux the most played champion until Riot realise that this change is not what we want! Take lots of screenshots of your games showcasing crazy builds and awesome/terrible scores, upload Youtube videos, draw fanart, write fanfiction - do whatever you want to express how much you love Lux and her ultimate just the way it is and link it here! All content you post here will be indexed by me here and I'll give the best ones a shout-out!
I myself will be featuring on a Stream with friends of mine (Hosted and owned by my friends FecklessRogue - check him out, he's a cool guy!) and we'll be happy to get a few of you in with us for games - people who submit the best content to this thread get first dibs on playing Lux!
As I've said lots of times, this might be a protest against Riot but that doesn't mean we can't have fun with it and I encourage Riot employees to get involved and interact with us - I promise we won't try and drag you into an argument about the ability name or anything like that, I just want people to get involved with the fun!
This is all about having fun and enjoying ourselves - Please try to keep negativity towards me and the others who support me to a minimum and keep any debate over the issue itself out of this thread wherever possible, please!
