Hello Abhorsen,

First of all congratulations about joining Riot. I have two distinct questions :

1. How do you feel about tournaments pretty much featuring always the same teams ? On the one hand, i think that having tournaments having some "stars" draws more audience, on the other hand, I would definitely welcome tournaments with more "new" teams.

2. What are the plans for Riot to significantly improve the tournament coverage on the website ? It happens often to have announces of tournaments before they happen , but never coverage of tournament results.

As a player, I feel Riot should really improve its tournament coverage, with pre-tournament coverage, tournament coverage and post tournament coverage. It might sound like asking much, but since a lot of what you aim to do with Riot is develop e-sports, I do feel you are lacking in tournament / player coverage.

Take a look, for example, at what Magic The Gathering did at the beginning of its Pro Tour and take some inspiration from it : player interviews, strategies, event description etc..

Please, this is no "bad" criticism, i really love everything Riot, it is just an area on which there could be a much better coverage.

For example, a coverage of Go4Lol, or of the 64 team tournament to get to Dreamhack would really be interesting in my opinion. It would diversify teams we see and generate interest and excitement about competitive play.

Cheers.
Siv

Do you think you can match up against the likes of ymir, ravenworld or roniboo? ^^
Oh I think I can more than hold my own

Idea of koreans is very nice - blind pick as one of the game where each team doesnt see other's picks.

Second question is about your state of SK, lot of leaves, medium results in matches, every few month new player it isnt very good for team while lanes are swapped as well and midlane player isnt on his best,
THX!
I think the competitive scene is thriving at the moment, stability is an issue but it has been in many games for a while. I also don't think any team is changing it's roster more frequently than another. Obviously some are more consistant than others!

I might add I am also a fan of Blind Pick!

Do you think TSM will be able to beat CLG.eu in the world championship season 2? ( Imagine they are the finals )

I joined Riot around a month ago as an eSports co-ordinator. I've been busy with a few events so haven't been able to do this sooner but here's an introduction thread.

I formerly worked for SK Gaming as their team manager and Lead Journalist for the LoL coverage.

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have, please note though that I don't do anything related to Gameplay etc so I won't be able to answer those questions.

Feel free to shoot me questions about competitive play and the circuit though!
Welcome Scott, great to have you onboard and sitting opposite!
Good luck sitting next to Zenonthestoic.

Here's to an exciting future.

Firstly I/we agree that although it is nice to see the stars of the game, for a league/scene to be successful you need to have a fresh influx of new professionals. While it may appear hard for these new players currently we do have intentions to make a clear path to the top level for new stars. I do feel though that if players are good enough, the top level is accessible to them.

As for the coverage aspect I like to think Riot are pioneering eSports more so than other games at present. I'm a big fan of football and I am constantly looking for ways we can improve our coverage by introducing aspects that professional sports incorporate into their broadcasts. I've not seen Magic The Gathering's coverage but I will look into it!

Constructive criticism is always welcomed, we would be ignorant to say we are at our best already, far from it!
