By the way, is this visual going to show the total damage or just the bonus? Say you have the 50 base dmg + 100 AD + 300 stack will it show +300 or 450, or the 50 + 100 + 300 that we see now?
the reason i personally wouldn't like that change is simply because that is information that was previously not known to the enemies and it would now suddenly make nasus players feel less powerfull. There's nothing as satisfying as catching a enemy with a heavily stacked Q. How about keeping it hidden for everyone except your allies? That way you still wouldn't have to mouse-over his Q and his team would still be able to see it aswell, without exposing anything to the enemies?
I actually think that showing this information to his enemies is GOOD for game health. Our design philosophy is that relevant information should be available to you so you can make informed decisions. It feels great to you as the Nasus player to surprise someone with a massive chunk, but it feels really dumb for the enemy who had no other way to find out how hard you'd hit him than scouting with his face.
I'm working on a change where the damage that Nasus gets from his Q is shown as a number on a buff, so you no longer have to mouse-over his Q as Nasus / as a spectator to see the number. This also means that the number will be exposed to Nasus' allies and enemies. UI-wise the number easily scales into 5 digits, so I hope that even in super-long games nothing will break visually.
My question to you all is this: are you at all concerned with the enemy having access to this information? Would you say that we are exposing information that wasn't previously exposed at all? Anything else that strikes you as problematic about this change?
(I am interested in well argued reasons why I shouldn't proceed with this change; if you don't like the change, please take a moment to think about WHY you don't like it. I don't want to open this up to a vote, I want to discuss the possible implications with you.)
omg, release now please, for as far as i can tell this fits my playstyle with yi. as ad i was missing the poke you could do with alphastrike, while as ap i missed the followupdamage, this is great news and i love it
That was the general idea, keeping what was cool with both playstyles and merging them together
Copying Xyph's post on NA and adding some missing info to make this more accesible to you guys.
Playstyle and Kit
Overall, none of his targetting paradigms have changed - nor have any of the abilities changed in their use case.
The majority of this was scaling, timing, cleanup and a couple minor retouches.
Alpha Strike
For example, Alpha Strike now scales off total Attack Damage, deals physical damage and has some light interactions with critical strike and attack speed.
Hitting an enemy will reduce the cooldown of Alpha Strike - while critical strike will add mini-crits to the skill based on your critical strike chance and damage.
Alpha Strike will have fixed travel time between bounces - so an Alpha Strike on 4 targets will give you a consistent time of untargetability, rather than being proximity based. This also means that your opponents will have a better sense of when you'll fade back in, so good luck on that.
Alpha Strike has lost its AP ratio... for now. We're experimenting with some models here under-the-hood for a pure AP playstyle - unsure how it'll fully pan out.
Alpha Strike now counts as movement for the purposes of items such as Statik Shiv.
Alpha Strike is now proximity based - you will now be able to predict where Yi will jump to.
Alpha Strike's bonus damage to minions is no longer random and always occurs.
Meditate
Meditate has changed from a flat armor / magic resistance boost to a % DR model as penetration was causing really weird damage potentials against what is supposed to be one of Yi's primary defense mechanisms.
It also restores more health the lower health you have - meditating at lower health will provide a bigger damage buffer / health restore in general than meditating at high health.
Wuju Style
Wuju Style has been changed from a flat boost to a % boost in total attack damage. This smooths out his power curve a bit better based on how well he's doing throughout the game, rather than spiking early at around level 9 and then really needing to snowball off a couple kills to remain decent.
Wuju's style's active now deals true damage based on a % of his total attack damage - Master Yi needs to be a threat, regardless of who he's attacking - but the damage difference between destroying squishy targets and piercing high armor targets was getting a bit absurd.
In general, Wuju Style will add less attack damage early but more and more as he builds additional Attack Damage and ranking it. We've compensated some of this early damage loss with an increase in base statistics and survivability.
Wuju will now lose the passive AFTER the active ends since the active now scales with his total AD
Highlander
One of the things we noticed from continuous playtests was that the more you made Yi focus on Alpha Strike and Highlander gameplay - the more of a restriction Highlander became.
One of the primary skills a player needs to know while playing Yi is when to engage a fight - but seeing so many opportunities pass by because you were waiting for an apparently unrelated cooldown (Highlander) seemed counter-intuitive for the build.
Highlander now has a passive/active component - the passive restoring basic cooldowns on kills and assists - while the active keeps the speed benefits that the original highlander had. Note, however, that Highlander will not reset itself passively or actively but extend its duration on kills or assists while active.
Double Strike
Double Strike was operating in a burst paradigm that seemed antithesis to the continuous threat pattern that we wanted to build up - Especially with Alpha Strike becoming a larger part of threat for AD - this spiked his assassin pattern to an unhealthy level.
Double Strike has been retuned as a building-up paradigm. Every 4th attack, Master Yi's next attack will strike twice for 100% damage and 50% on the second hit - but he must use this additional double strike within the next couple of seconds - This also had some neat synergies with the retuned Alpha Strike and Wuju Style.
Actually a true katana is supposed to be perfectly balanced just at the root of the blade, where it meets the hilt/handle. A sword that is blade heavy will become a chore to swing quite quickly =P
Then again, Yi is a freakin' Sam Fisher ninja in a fantasy world so why am I bringing real life logic into this D=
Haha, yeah. At the end of the day, it's a fantasy sword, so we just needed to make sure the sword is unique and awesome. We already had that in place for Yi, so we just upped the fidelity.
I'd still love you to just remove those weird rings from his blade. What is their purpose?
They're weighted rings! Without breaking open an encyclopedia, I believe that they're to cause the blade to be heavier and increase the killing potential. Also they provide us with a great chance for animation, as they actively move now!

Yes, as per usual, all skins will be updated as well. You'll see them Soon™ enough!
Master Yi's slated for a visual upgrade and kit rework in a coming patch . In addition to a new model, more polished animations and expanded voice over, each of Yi's abilities are getting updates to address issues with his popular AP and AD builds. His kit should still feel familiar to both AP and AD enthusiasts, and we're hoping to retain most of the fun aspects of both playstyles.
We had three basic goals with the Master Yi updates:
Polish up Master Yi's art and aesthetics so they hit the same level of polish as new champions
Merge the most enjoyable aspects of AP and AD Yi into a single cohesive playstyle
Place more emphasis on mastering Yi's abilities so he's less frustrating in lower level play and scales better with player skill
Why'd Master Yi get a new look?
Master Yi was one of the first League of Legends champions ever created. Back then the game had a less established artistic identity. We've learned a lot over the years, but we also thought it was important to preserve his core look and feel as a part of LoL history. The differences are subtle, but when you check out the new Yi you'll notice his proportions are more in line with his fellow champs, his animations are more polished and he has some sweet new acrobatic moves on Alpha Strike, Double Strike and Highlander.
Why does Yi need a design update?
Most of AD Yi's power comes from his basic attack combined with the steroid effects on Wuju Style, Highlander and Double Strike. Without AP, there's almost no incentive to master your active skills – Meditate's not a very effective disengage and Alpha Strike can actually make you lose DPS since you could be attacking during the cast animation. By contrast, AP Yi requires careful management of Alpha Strike, Meditate and Wuju Style to maximize damage and survivability, but doesn't do a whole lot with his basic attack until he gets Lich Bane.
While both these playstyles are interesting in their own right, they don't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive, and there's probably a unified design that offers the best of both. Moreover, while AP Yi's a rather compelling late game fighter, he's extremely frustrating to face in lane, so scaling back Alpha Strike and Meditate was a necessary part of the update.
What's happening to AP Yi?
While straight AP probably won't remain a prominent build, AP Yi players will find many of the familiar elements of their playstyle intact. While Alpha Strike and Meditate are scaled back so they're less overwhelming in lane, carefully managing your active abilities will play an important role in staying alive and maximizing your DPS. You'll also have the added power of AD Yi's basic attack to make up for your less devastating Alpha Strikes.
How's the new Master Yi play?
We imagine the updated Master Yi will work well in both mid lane and the jungle. We definitely want to skew his itemization away from the typical tank-heavy fighter builds. The updated kit rewards glass cannon DPS builds that rely on disengaging with Alpha Strike and Meditate to stay alive. Most of his power still comes though items rather than natural scaling through levels. Overall, Master Yi players should have more strategic options, and more incentive to master his full kit to fight effectively.
First of all thanks for your reply,
I won't make multiple tickets again, it was a result of frustration, I would rather have spend my 20 euros on something different then RP if I knew it was going to take this long. After sending proof of my payment yesterday I was hoping that I could use it today atleast.
I can totally get where you're coming from.
It's a frustrating thing to happen, and I know in your situation I'd have probably been just as eager to see it through. I can see things from our perspective a little clearer though here, and we have had some serious issues in the past where some payment methods were delayed but still gave immediate RP.
It created a real nightmare scenario not just for us but for players as some unscrupulous people tried to scam and decent folk felt left out.
It's a rare situation from what I gather, relatively speaking, but I believe it's written into the guides for that payment option. Which, again doesn't make it less irritating for you, but we're not out to cause you trouble here.
Did you read what i wronte on my other posts?
Just stop Quoting what did I mentioned i consider myself guilty.
And by the way i don't think you are such good saints, everyone get angry.
That's true, but people usually find that there's a reaction to that anger.
It's why society doesn't encourage using anger to resolve problems. Famed philosopher Yoda says it best. What happened here is that your anger led to you being punished, which should give you the information you need to hold back from getting to that stage in the future.
You did wrong, you accept you did wrong, the right thing to do now is avoid that in future rather than try and claim the times you held off from saying such things excuse the times you did.
I've been fully guildy in the First and the Third cases (i can give reasons but won't justify myself), but the others are totally out of place. Whoever reading the chat and looking the score would udnerstand the situation-.
That one instance is really enough for players to look at and make a judgement, it's a very poor thing to say to anybody and shows up in the first game.

The big question is for yourself here, rather than the system or other players, is can you change? If not you'll find yourself reported again.
Think about how such things make you look to other people, and how they must feel. You're the one responsible for your words here.
This quote from the FAQ should help answer your question as well.

27. I only have one bad game in my Tribunal Reform Card, why am I banned??? There’s only one game, how can I decide whether I should ban this player or not?
There is also no requirement that all games in a case have to be toxic for it to warrant a suspension. Depending on the case, sometimes one game is all that is needed to show that the player deserves a suspension. For example, the community might punish a player who uses death threats in 1 game, but doesn’t necessarily rage in other games. To Tribunal reviewers, decisions like these are up to you. When you view a Tribunal case, the questions you should ask yourselves are, "Is this player's behavior appropriate in League of Legends?" and "Would I want to play with this player?"
Stop propaganda with off-context statistics that nobody can check.
Start giving us some insights like the following:
Relative number of reports per player / per game for the losing side / winning side.
Just numbers. No judgement involved. Let's see what clues one might get from that? But no, that of course is a "negative" approach and should be avoided. RIGHTEY?
No, it's because if we start giving out hard data like that people can and will try to scam the system, making things much worse for everyone.
There's not much propaganda there, we're certainly not elevating the Tribunal to a golden untouchable throne and declaring it perfect. What we are pointing out is that it is effective and that discussion here can be driven from a very skewed perspective (You come to the Tribunal forum because you have an issue with the Tribunal; some want it to be wrong to prove themselves right).
If you want access to the constant, specific and evolving data in order to effect positive change we're always hiring. It is something that should always be treated as sensitive here not because it will blow up in scandal like some want, but because it could be used for nefarious* purposes.
*I just really wanted to use the word nefarious today.
So yesterday at 16.00 I used Ideal to transfer money to Riot for RP.
The money was taken from my account right away by Globalcollect.
Normally I get my RP instant, or within an hour.
Now 25 hours have passed, I've send Riot 3 e-mail's.
I have provided all 3 with a screenshot of the transfer and all the numbers they asked me for, yet none of them replied since yesterday afternoon.
All 3 of them send me the exact same e-mail and stopped to respond after I provided them with the information they asked me for, including a screenshot of the transfer.

So even though I wrote 3 different e-mails, I get 3 exacly the same replies, even worse after I mailed the numbers and information they required together with a screenshot of the transfer they did not even reply.......
They state 3-5 days waiting time, for a mistake on their behalf, and when I provide the stuff to fix this I don't even get a reply, this RP will be useless for me if I get it after 3-5 days, Riot certainly did not wait getting the money out of my bank account, it's an online product it's not like they have to wait for it to arrive, this is unacceptable.
I would really appreciate it if I get my RP, or just some help.
On topics like this you will always get a standard response first. It's important the information is standard for ease across many different tickets. We simply cannot rewrite it every time or it would take forever and cause issues.
It sucks as an issue though, but we do not have this payment. Yet.
As soon as the transaction is completed and the Billing guys verify it the RP will go through for you, and as I had one of our guys bring your ticket up to see what has gone on there was someone else already looking at it so expect a new reply soon. That is what 3-5 days referred to in your response, it's an estimate brought about by experience.
It's also important to understand that making many tickets simply puts additional weight on the system and we have to close all but one of them. It ironically makes things take longer for you in terms of response time.
is it possible to stream with my laptop?
I got a intel 2.1 dual core processor with 4gb memory and intel mobile r 4 series express chipset family
onboard graphics...
I play lol with this on very low graphics with 20-40 fps..
I'd say it could become really tough and even risky for your laptop, as your processor might be at high temperatures.
If you play by default at 20-40fps, you could probably stream but playing at around 8-12 fps. That's something I would not recommend you.

I mentioned on the guide that there are other alternatives. However, Xsplit is the software I've used the most and the one I feel most comfortable with. Anyways, I've managed to set up OBS and stream in very High Quality following this streamer numbers.
About the unfluid stuff, the last post I've done might help you solve this possible issue
This thread is a lot older than I expected when I opened it up.
Discussing the Tribunal is great, improvements are always going to be made and it's good for people to learn about misconceptions they may have. One thing that I think starts these threads off on a negative front is that it's less about The Tribunal but comes down to "My specific Tribunal Case".
The OP for example discusses how he was innocent of any wrongdoing but doesn't provide a Reform Card to show this and instead turns toward the Tribunal needing overhauls. It's typical of a lot of Tribunal feedback and I think that it's where a lot of confusion comes from here specifically.
We see it a lot in discussions on bans where threads about an individual players conduct are never actually about their behaviour, but something grander that attracts attention. That isn't to say such players don't have a point, if a player feels they have been subject to something unfair then they should be able to raise it, but it should always have the Reform Card or full disclosure in the OP to make the discussion more open and understandable.
With that said we want to see you openly talking about features like the Tribunal and our goals. To this end I'd really recommend people check the updated FAQ here, we'll update it over time and we'll also keep you in the loop with new features.
One thing to understand is that if we did not see results, positive results, from the Tribunal we wouldn't be using it.
I'm agreeing with starting items of machette and 2 wards.
Consume does 600 damage level 1 and smite only 460 (i think) so its a perfect chance to get ahead.
Also, after Spirit of the Spectral Wraith, I think some cooldown reduction is nice, like glacial shroud. Let's you level Q and just cruise through the jungle > early dragon > early baron.
(Based on watching a few decent players with Nunu and not my own limit skill).
So i got banned for Offensive Language which was appropriate, after i could log in again i got a message telling me that i have a chat restriction. Basically i can only talk in team chat and can only write 5 lines, you get one line every 10 minutes. So i thought well let's not play ranked and just play normals. As it turns out in at least 5 of the games i got reported for not communicating with the team and got banned for that...again. Now what should i do ? Never play LoL again?
I'd recommend posting your Reform Card for that ban here so we can look at it and see what happened.
In truth this should have happened a while back, we were waiting on localisation and we actually have a separate board for cases where the FAQ would be posted that isn't live right now.
There's a lot of really great information in the first few posts that should work to answer a lot of common questions.
@Khodan Alas, we will not be able to give you 1350 RP for your decent attempt on drawing champions. I did enjoy your art work though, keep them coming.
I may have posted something about the forums in the past month or so, but regardless, we have a team looking at the forums. A lot of our web resources have been and are still working on the new beta site so we haven't seen too much movement in this area.
WARNING: I'm not management, so don't take any of the following as ironclad, but I don't think we would plan on implementing any of the features you mentioned. Addressing each one in turn:
Post count: Philosophically I think we may be opposed to displaying this information since post count is a terrible indicator of post quality. That said, this is sort of a feature already. "Junior Member", "Member", and "Senior Member" are determined by post count (0, 30, and 100 posts respectively).
Private Messaging: The risk, even if this were gated behind your account's friend list, is extremely high. It offers another means by which malicious individuals can find their way into other players' accounts and another point of failure for the website for what is at most a Quality-of-Life change. We would sooner promote more effectiveforum use than build this out, I think.
Signatures: Too easily abused. The logical followup of having unified signatures for everyone's accounts (eg. level, tier, date of last match) is undesirable because not everyone wants that information broadcast and because it further ties the forums to the live servers, which is the direction we want to move away from.
Sorry to be the wet blanket here :/ We recognize that upgraded forums are high on the wishlist of a very dedicated group of players, but as I mentioned, it'll probably be a bit before you see anything other than a small touch-up or two.
I know the UK are apart of the EU, but why can't we have a UK sever? i mean everyone in the uk knows english. why punish the uk players by throwing us into a multilingual sever? Not bashing on people but the majority of European players on EUW ain't the politest of players. nor do they have the best communication skills.
I don't think there were enough UK based players when LoL first came to Europe so if it ever was considered in the beginning I believe that would be the biggest blocker. Looking at it from a present day point of view I think it can be quite destructive to separate pre-existing communities, personally I have friends I play with from many different countries and it would be extremely annoying to have to hop between servers (if it was even permitted) to play with them.
I sincerely hope you do not just avoid responding to this quote, like you reds do most times.
But you say this yourself : "The problem to some extent is insoluble".
If you are capable of admitting this and saying that this problem with communication has no possible solution why did you make that big AMA and that apology promising better communication and treatment to EUW?
Why do you promise to millions of players something that you come here weeks after and say it's impossible to resolve to hundred players?
You just said you would try to solve this to keep us shut?
And now, go to your usual routine and ignore this post. It is what you do, you ignore. Like you ignored the fact that Korea got a lot more then us at EUW and our complaints were just answered by this: "That is a problem of Riot Korea", dude you represent the same company, policy is the same.
Cheers.
Some really good discussion on the subject guys and some great ideas, I know a lot of them are already being looked at.
When I say the problem is insoluble I meant in a couple of different ways; from the point of view of an EU Rioter we can't really talk to you in a knowledgeable way about the things you really want to talk about; game development. This is even more true for Korea, Turkey, Brazil, China etc.. who have an even larger language barrier to overcome. Everyone is also looking at it from an English speaking perspective - we could merge the English forums but this doesn't help our French, German, Polish, Romanian, Greek, Italian, Russian or Spanish speaking players. I'm also giving you one point of view, my own.
It's a complex issue with no easy solutions but we can of course do far better.
ALSO we did run this on EUW (http://euw.leagueoflegends.com/board...00781#11500781)! And as FeralPony mentioned, reveals are something we're experimenting with. I will say that we were all really happy with the posts though.
Thanks for the positive feedback and I'll pass it along! This was a bit of an experiment by the writing team so it's always good to hear how people felt about it. It's very possible we'll try something like this again.
Woad King Darius leads his people by the might of his axe, imposing his will and cleaving those who dare cross him. The war-painted Woad King charges into the fray bearing the storied symbols of his power. His ascent to the throne began when he single-handedly slew the beast whose head now adorns his battle armor. The axe, armor and face-paint are rounded out by new particle effects and a unique recall animation.
It would be nice to get a response from Riot regarding thier thought about this.
I don't think it is game breaking but I'm not a fan of suiciding on towers on any map, if it were up to me (which it isn't) I'd remove the 10 second rule altogether and give the kill to whoever did damage last.
I find it funny how Froststab avoids answering the actual thread and just talking about those minor problems.....We are here to discuss about your lack of activity here in our forums and u have to come here talking about a darn maintenance....
Well played Riot...Well played
I've avoided the subject of red forum activity in the past because of several reasons:
It's primarily a subject for our Community team to talk about and they are far better at communicating to you in the forum medium than I am. I've had really good discussions with Demorphic on the subject and I trust in the direction he is going.
The problem to some extent is insoluble, players from any game want to talk to developers and as I mentioned we don't do any development here in Europe. That doesn't mean we can't find ways for you to engage with developers in NA and we are working on it. There are already several of them actively talking with you on the EUW forums like FeralPony, Reinboom and Xelnath.
The vast majority of the European team is split between German, French, Polish, Spanish, Italian, Greek and Romanian. The most active posters on the EUW English forums are the few native English speakers like Demorphic, Ymir, Rincewind and myself. The rest tend to post on the forums in their native language, so EU Rioters have a unique challenge where we have 8 communities to engage with.
I don't think anything I say on the subject will be taken constructively at this point and most of it has already been said in other threads. I wouldn't like for my opinion to be mistaken as Riot making excuses.
Apart from all this it isn't really the style of Riot to keep talking about problems but instead to fix them, you can be assured that we hear you guys loud and clear and when we do fix it you'll see it rather than listen to us make promises.
@Olívía this has been discussed quite a bit. A search for posts (forums/google) by IronStylus will bring up a ton of discussions that have been had in the past. I can't point to a single thread right now, due to work. I can do later in the day if needed.
Hello froststab.
As you seem to be the only Rioter around at 5 in the morning.
Which, you seem to do a lot XD
Any word on why the servers are bugged up again?
People getting stuck at 4k-6k in the queue, when they finally hit 1st, bugsplats.
If we do actually manage to get into the game, people arent able to queue up...
As of yet, still nothing from riots end as to why this is happening.
And i thought we were told that the servers were fixed now?
That 20IP Boost was just a way to try to keep our mouths shut...
This is related to the Emergency Maintenance that is in progress at the moment, you can find updates here:
The rating used for matchmaking in normal games isn't the same as it is for ranked games, you can get players who have a very high rating in the league system but low in normal games and vice versa.
